Yael, the Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael completed her studies at NIDA. Yael was fortunate enough from a very young age to work with some of Australia's top storytellers and performers and creative directors within the TV, film and theatre fields. Yael's work is well-known throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's move to New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael co-founded The Cannery. From the Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages writing, innovative creative projects and assists in the formation of new writers.
